Master Gavin Holden 5th Dan

Having studied under Grand Master Mick Lomax at Halton in Lancaster, I became the instructor, running the Lancaster club, whilst he moved on to teach at Thornton.

My Journey

I have been training since 1993, achieving the following grades:

• Kukkiwon 1st Dan - 04/05/1996
• 2nd Dan - 05/12/2000
• 3rd Dan - 20/07/2003
• 4th Dan - 21/11/2017
• 5th Dan - 28/08/2024

• 1st place - Sheffield Open at Ponds Forge 1996
• 2nd place - Koryo North East Open 1998
• 1st place - Master Shins Open Ardwick
• 2nd place - Coup m. Deffet Belgium
• 2nd place - British Millennium Championships
• 3rd seed - For team GB in year 2000
